Responsible to deliver reliable, timely and professional support to all members of the Director’s Office and Divisional Management Team (DMT) to facilitate the successful operation of the division and completion of initiatives designed to achieve key divisional, organizational and community outcomes. Works efficiently across a variety of concurrent projects with internal partners to ensure that teams are enabled with the tools, information and practices that allow them to focus on the successful delivery of projects and operations.

What you will do in this role:
  • Responsible for a range of project organizational activities including coordination of activities for Housing Services division.
  • Assists members of the Director’s Office in applying project management principals and developing project artifacts including project charters, requirements, work breakdown structure, budgets, schedule, risk logs, lessons learned, etc. for divisional projects.
  • Adapts project management tools, templates and procedures or develops new ones as needed to support project planning, implementation, monitoring and close out for divisional initiatives.
  • In collaboration with members of the Director’s Office, acts as a liaison between internal and external project stakeholders and partners to ensure effective and timely communications.
  • Seeks direction and coordinates decision-making, in a timely manner, on any issues that impedes the completion of deliverables.
  • Gathers and document stakeholder feedback and changes to project materials and deliverables
  • Assists the Specialist, Director’s Office with the implementation, coordination and reporting of performance metrics as part of the Operational Management Toolbox (OMT).
  • Supports change management activities for the division.
  • Regularly prepares and updates project status reports regarding PHHP actions, annual divisional initiatives and performance metrics, identifies and escalates early warning signs and proposes recommendations.
  • Provides council report support to the division and ensures the divisional and HSLT council report logs are up to date and consistent.
  • Maintains electronic documentation repositories in accordance with regional document control standards.
  • May conduct research and analysis to support the creation of project deliverables and at the request of members of the Director’s Office.
  • Under the direction of the Manager or Director, completes small scope projects and leads the implementation of specific work packages and deliverables.
What the role requires:
  • Degree or diploma in business management, finance, math, statistics, accounting, information management systems or related fields with at least 3 years of job related experience working in a project management environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Highly motivated, capable of learning new project management skills and responsibilities
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work in a high pressure team environments with strict deadlines, effectively managing multiple project priorities, demands and timelines
  • Ability to take on and perform tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and comfort working with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills, critical thinker with the ability to recognize the full scope and effect of actions
  • Ability to work under high-pressure environments and adhere to strict deadlines

Work Mode & Job Location: In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Dr., Brampton, ON worksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.

It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
