ABOUT CHILD DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE
Child Development Institute (CDI) is a leading provider of mental health and early learning services for children, youth and families in Toronto.  In 2019-2020, CDI served over 4,600 children, youth and their families, including over 2,500 children through our health child development programs. 
 
POSITION SUMMARY
A new and impactful role, the Associate Director, Program Implementation, Research & Development holds primary responsibility for the R&D and implementation delivery team. This includes leading the design and implementation of a business process redesign, and the planning and managing all phases of the teams to ensure the successful scaling and R&D of the new and existing evidence-based programs. The incumbent will use project/portfolio management expertise, process and systems design and optimization, quality improvement and best practices to ensure all initiatives related to key priorities and strategic initiatives are planned and managed successfully.
 
This position will play a pivotal role in operations tactical and strategic improvement initiatives, which will include identifying issues, synthesizing conclusions into recommendation to drive and support the needs of day-to-day operations management.
 
Our client is seeking to meet candidates who have the following experience:
  • 5+ years’ management experience in operations, project portfolio management, process design and implementation, research and development are preferred, or other relevant operational management experience
Education / Professional Designation:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; an MBA is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

  • Demonstrated skills to enable quality and efficiency through continuous improvement, including lean methodology
  • Strong writing / documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage and mentor high-performance teams
  • Highly developed technical and analytical skills with ability to use expert level judgment for strategic thinking and problem solving
  • Experience developing and managing budgets and preparing business plans
  • Highly effective decision-making skills, adaptive and flexible with strong operational capabilities
  • Proven ability to scale a technical service team along with supporting systems and processes
  • Strong people management with experience building, motivating, mentoring and coaching a diverse team of staff
  • Superior communication skills including the ability to succinctly convey complex ideas to create clarity with diverse audiences with varying levels of issue expertise and understanding
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a respectful and aware manner with groups from diverse background and experiences
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
Compensation
  • $100,000 - $110,000 annual salary
  • CDI offers a highly competitive total compensation package that includes Group benefits after 30 days
