The Canadian Mental Health Association-Fort Frances Branch is recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health care professional to lead an innovative client-centred mental health and addictions care team and be a transformational driver in pursuit of excellence. In an environment that aspires to the mission, vision and values of a federated national agency and accountable to an independent regional Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for the needs identification and  oversight of diverse mental health and addiction programs throughout the Kenora and Rainy River Districts.  Located in the border community of Fort Frances, they provide guidance and operational oversight to a dynamic leadership team, committed to quality, person-centred services and in accordance with legislation, regulation and approved policies. The CEO nurtures and supports a culture that reflects the diverse voices of the community including approximately 60 staff, persons with lived experience and their families.  The CEO will value inclusion, equity, diversity, and lived experience, while supporting excellence of service delivery and care.

The CEO will play a key role in the future of our mental health and addiction landscape including Ontario Health, Mental Health and Addictions Centre for Excellence and provincial OHT development.  They will work with other health, municipal and social service partners, including CMHA Ontario, toward responsive, equitable, quality health services, while elevating the determinants of health and overall community wellness.  The CEO will be someone who values and supports community development, and actively engages in building community partnerships.  As an integral part of the community CMHA-FF will continue to contribute to the wellness and vision for the community of Fort Frances and surrounding area.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a graduate degree in a related field and/or significant experience in the field of mental health and addictions along with progressive management experience in the health or social services field related to the provision of services to individuals with a serious mental illness, preferably in a community setting.
