Full-time Contract, ending January 2024
35 Hours / Week (Monday-Friday)
Location – Town of Parry Sound

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator, to assume responsibility for the recruitment process for the entire organization, as well as other core human resources functions such as job descriptions. The Human Resources Coordinator will ensure human resources service delivery aligns with the organizations strategic plan and in compliance with all relevant employment legislation, under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma in Human Resource Management or Business Administration. (An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be accepted.)
  • Minimum 2 years HR or related experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, highly motivated and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skillful knowledge of computerized HRIS System(s), spreadsheets, payroll programs and word processing.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment related legislations (ESA) and labour relations.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to travel across the District as required.
 
Responsibilities include
  • Primary individual responsible for the recruitment process for the entire organization. Including, internal and external job postings, creation/selection of interview questions, set up and full responsibility for interview and hiring process and participation on the recruitment interview panel.
  • Responsible for having a thorough knowledge of the Collective Agreement and ensuring that all work is completed within the requirements of the agreement.
  • Responsible for sending employment packages and related forms and ensuring signed letters of offer, signed job descriptions, & other employment related forms are received, scanned & attached in HRIS & filed in Personnel Files.
  • Responsible for monitoring contracts and liaising with Supervisors with regard to contract extensions.
  • Maintain union and non-union job descriptions, and as directed by the Director Human Resources, prepare, and submit changes for approval.
 
Salary Range: $63,387.00 – 77,958.00/ annually, plus 4% vacation pay
