London & Middlesex Community Housing (LMCH) is seeking a seasoned executive leader as its next Chief Executive Officer. A provider of over 3,200 housing units across 32 properties in London and Middlesex County, the more than 5,000 people who call LMCH home are a diverse cross-section of individuals including families, seniors, adults, and new Canadians, all of whom are living with limited income.

Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is primarily responsible to provide leadership and support to the Board, as well as direct the operations of London & Middlesex Community Housing including tenant placement, property management, tenant relations, operational maintenance, and capital asset planning.  The CEO will provide Corporate oversight, ensure proper fiscal management of financial resources including business and budget planning, in addition to directing the development and application of sound business and administrative practices.
 
As CEO, the incumbent will demonstrate visionary leadership for LMCH’s staff as they foster an organizational culture focussed on core business delivery, innovation, and service excellence.  The CEO will work in partnership with agency and community stakeholders in the provision of needed services to tenants and those most vulnerable in the community.  The incumbent must be an independent and strategic thinker who will explore a full range of options and be able to articulate and implement strategies for LMCH that will maximize corporate priorities, stakeholder and partnership development, labour relations, asset retention, resident satisfaction, and cost savings.   The individual will be innovative with exceptional facilitation and presentation skills.
 
 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or advanced degree in public administration, political science, or business, or combination of education and work experience.
  • Ten years of progressive experience in a management role, preferably in public administration.
  • Demonstrated competency to manage a large multi-disciplinary staff, preferably in a unionized environment. Experience in collective bargaining processes.
  • Extensive senior management experience in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of community housing delivery, community housing needs, and tenant relations and broader human service delivery principles.
  • Demonstrated record of strong leadership and guidance, customer focus, innovation/creativity, team advocacy, staff delegation, empowerment, staff development, and results orientation.
  • Highly developed analytical and business planning skills with a proven track record for long-term visioning and strategic planning, policy development, and implementation.
Note: This position requires the successful candidate to submit an acceptable current Police Records check from their local police service.
 
Compensation:
 
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. An attractive benefits package including health benefits and a pension plan is also available for the incumbent.
