    Early Years Child Care Services, Early Years System- Human Services 

    The Role: 

    The EarlyON Child and Family Centres provide access to an integrated system of services, programs and supports that meet the needs of children up to the age of six (6) years old and their families, legal guardians and caregivers. 

    Leading and supporting the EarlyON Child and Family Centres, you will develop and integrate data processes to devise a strategy to support new funding model initiatives. This role will work to include legislative and regulatory changes, increased budgetary responsibilities and accountabilities, and increased requirements for integrated/broader system planning as it relates to child and family centres. 

    This work will have a concentration on developing funding models, program standardizations for the model, apply change management and communication/marketing and evaluation strategies will be key components of this work. 

    Responsibilities: 

    • Plan and manage the on-going development and oversight of an expanded program model that will enhance the EarlyON Child and Family Centres
    • Lead, facilitate and coordinate meetings, information sessions, and focus groups in the development of an expanded system with stakeholders to ensure ongoing stakeholder engagement and support change management practices to build community capacity in a collaborative manner
    • Externally, the position holds major accountability to the Peel’s Community Planning table and Provider Advisory leadership team
    • Internally, this work requires alignment and integration with several evolving Early Learning and Child Care transformation initiatives and will indirectly report to staff overseeing the program/funding management of this broader ELCC system change
    • Responsible to prepare and/or deliver presentations, information reports, council reports and provide evidence informed recommendations to a wide variety of audiences
    • Develop and manage a EarlyON Child and Family Centres systems work plan, that monitors the execution of clearly articulated milestones and actions
    • Review staffing and budget requirements to develop a funding model to support the newly expanded service delivery approach
    • Use project and change management best practices to plan and manage the ongoing development and oversight of the expanded school age model 

    Qualifications: 

    • University Degree in human services or public administration or equivalent education and experience
    • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated project management and/or strategic planning implementation experience from development and implementation phases
    • A strong foundation in strategic planning and project management principles and methodology
    • Experience in the Human Services sector, with demonstrated experience working in partnership with community partners
    • Strong knowledge of Early Learning and Child Care is required, inclusive of related provincial legislation and Ontario Early Years framework
    • Strong short and long term planning with demonstrated ability to phase in and execute complex and multi-year plans
    • Knowledge of performance measurement and evaluation
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement funding plans and budgets
    • Solid research and analytical skills to gather, analyze, interpret and synthesize data to develop recommendations
    • Experience with Inclusion Policies and Practices related to children with Special Needs would both be assets

    Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Suite B Brampton

    Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm 35 hours/week
